SALARY RANGE:
$19 Hourly + Pooled Commission
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As an On-Call Concierge, your primary purpose is to deliver exceptional guest service by efficiently handling guest requests through various communication channels. You will build client relationships quickly and effectively to seal the deal, addressing high-volume business with a pleasant and can-do attitude connecting guests with the very best of Las Vegas, both within our property and beyond.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professionally and expeditiously process all guest requests (phone, face-to-face, text, email, or fax) while promoting, up-selling, and cross-selling all MGM Resorts venues including, but not limited to amenities, rooms, restaurants, shows, cabanas, retail outlets, M life, casino events, property promotions, etc.
Respond and assist with guest conflict resolutions in a timely manner and anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve any potential challenges.
As brand ambassadors, agents must be able to effectively build relationships and professionally represent themselves with vendors and guests.
Ability to multitask in up to 26 operating systems simultaneously to fulfill guest requests.
Commitment to ongoing knowledge development of citywide offerings as well as establishing a professional network within the hospitality community.
As facilitators of the booking process for numerous venues, it is critical that agents stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on other departments/entities\' policies and procedures.
Use computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e., telephone, copier, and fax machine.
May check-in/out hotel guests.
SCHEDULE:
This is an on-call position, where the number of weekly scheduled days is determined by the requirements of the business including coverage for callouts, vacations, and periods of heightened business demand.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work varied shifts on-call to include weekends and holidays.
One (1) year of customer service experience preferably in hospitality, front desk, VIP, travel agencies, box office/ticketing, or a similar field.
PREFERRED:
Post-secondary education.
Bilingual.
Participation in industry associations including the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association and Les Clefs d\xe2\x80\x99Or USA.
AAA / Mobile / Forbes guest service standards experience in a hotel/resort setting.
