Job Description

General Description:

The Form Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks associated with prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages, and other cast-in-place concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

\xe2\x97\x8f Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for the construction of concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated concrete slabs, elevator cores, stairways, etc.

\xe2\x97\x8f Set, place, and erect forms to proper elevations and locations using a wide variety of materials and forming systems

\xe2\x97\x8f Aid in installing reinforcing steel

\xe2\x97\x8f Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob and/or carpenter\'s level

\xe2\x97\x8f Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level

\xe2\x97\x8f Communicate with Foreman or Superintendent regarding any developing issues, required materials, or identified safety hazards

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure equipment is all in safe, working condition

\xe2\x97\x8f Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project

\xe2\x97\x8f Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines

\xe2\x97\x8f Willingly perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

\xe2\x97\x8f 3+ Years commercial concrete form setting experience

\xe2\x97\x8f Previous use of concrete tools, equipment and machines

\xe2\x97\x8f Current valid driver\'s license and pre-employment drug screen

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work off-shift hours and overtime as required

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work at heights multiple levels above ground
