CONSTRUCTION QUALITY CONTROL AND SAFETY MANAGER | YUKON MANAGEMENT, LLCType of Position: Full-Time, RegularTier: ILocation: Washington DC Tri-State AreaSchedule: TBDFLSA Classification: ExemptReports to: Project ManagerJOB OVERVIEWThe Construction Quality Control and Safety Manager is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating the quality control program. The Construction Quality Control and Safety Manager ensures continuous production and service consistent with established standards. You will also ensure training, inspections, audits, safety briefings, permits, regulatory negotiations, reviews, approvals, and waste tracking are all closely monitored and meet the compliance requirements. You will also be responsible for reviewing, approving, and submitting all required product information and verifying that materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and contract documents.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP.
• Develop and implement Quality Control plan.
• Maintain current records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and tests have been performed.
• Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Document and update appropriate logs.
• Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings.

• Direct the development and revision of safety processes and procedures; Create and review site-specific health and safety policies and programs as needed.
• Conduct safety training and certification programs; Ensure that personnel are adequately trained in emergency response plan procedures.
• Perform and supervise all testing required by the project specifications and testing plan.
• Institute a culture of safety and compliance; Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards; instruct employees in safety procedures.
• Conduct and maintain all OSHA reporting requirements; Provide instruction at the site level on necessary OSHA documentation requirements.
• Coordinate Three Phase of the Control Plan - Preparatory, Initial, and Final Phases.
• Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection and documentation of work and work-in-progress.
• Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the job site.
• Complete job close-out procedures.
• Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.0)
• Monitors subcontractor work to ensure work is complete per subcontractor agreement.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or the sciences preferred.

• At least five (5) years of proven experience in a Quality Control and Safety Manager position or similar role.
• Currently or have the ability to obtain the following certifications before employment: OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, CPR & First Aid, US Army Corps of Engineers CQM Certification, Fall Protection Certification, Scaffold Certification.
• Current GSA Access Card or the ability to obtain a GSA Access Card prior to employment.
• Current Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.
• SCA/DBA/Union/Government contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
