job summary:
A Construction Scheduler is needed for a leading construction organization in the Charlotte metro area (near Charlotte Douglas). The Construction Scheduler is responsible for supporting a large commercial construction project. Responsibilities include building and managing a Baseline schedule using best practices, updating the construction schedule via job walks and/or superintendent live updates, creating easy to read reports, and maintaining and updating a resource loaded schedule.

Qualified candidates must have 5+ years\' of experience with scheduling large scale commercial projects, and proficiency with P6. Candidates must be comfortable working with projects with an activity count of 2500 or more. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a Baseline schedule using CPM best practices, including the WBS, to detail out the areas/types of work for schedules with more than 2500 activities; Support leadership and development of Scheduling Department tools, training, templates, and resources
  • Run weekly meetings to update the construction schedule via job walks and/or superintendent live updates; Conduct weekly update meetings via job walks and superintendent updates
  • Create, maintain, and edit different layouts in P6 to update the schedule efficiently, create easy-to-read reports, analyze the critical path to specific activities, and identify variance from previous baselines
  • Resource load a baseline schedule to track earned value metrics and maintain and update a resource loaded schedule to keep cost and durations accurate
  • Interface with clients in a 1 on 1 basis and address their concerns/requests; Coordinate schedule development for projects, involving project supervision, owners, and subcontractors/vendors
