Parsons is hiring a Construction Scheduler to support our client in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
Responsible for reviewing and validating all project schedules prepared by the construction contractors and recommending schedule adjustments to accelerate progress or to better reflect actual conditions and limitations.
To qualify for this position a person shall have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in schedule management and analysis of facility construction projects with a direct relevancy and correlation to the same scope, size (dollar value) and complexity of the projects within the Microelectronics Metrology Facilities Improvements Program, proficiency in Primavera P6, CPM Network analysis, cost schedule correlation using Earned Value (EV) analysis, an ability to coordinate and assess multiple CPM network schedules with concurrent project phases, and preparing and reviewing schedules of values.
Work requirements include, but not limited to:
Develop an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on the construction contractors\' approved schedules to incorporate key dates and events related specifically to planned NIST activities.
Include and track program and project milestones and include the necessary coordination tasks associated with construction turnover dates, major inspections, move coordination, etc. as noted in the tasks above.
The integrated master schedule shall be prepared in accordance with the guidelines included in the \xe2\x80\x9cGAO Schedule Assessment Guide: Best Practices for Project Schedules\xe2\x80\x9d, GAO-16-89G (December 2015) (\xe2\x80\x9cGAO Scheduling Guide\xe2\x80\x9d) and incorporate elements such as data, phone, and security installations.
For projects exceeding $20M, provide short duration (4 Week) look ahead and long duration (3 Month) critical and key event tracking.
Review construction contractors\' Monthly Schedule Updates and provide an analysis report.
Verify the contractors\' schedules are compliant with the contract requirements and correctly report on actual progress.
Determine the impact of any out-of-sequence work and evaluate the reason so as not to affect the critical path. Review the critical path and note changes from the prior update.
Review and report any trends (both positive and negative).
Provide predictive schedule analysis utilizing the Earned Value Management System for analysis of the construction contractors\' schedules and overall progress.
Provide technical analysis to review fragmentary networks (FRAGNETs) associated with any changes requiring time.
Assist the COR in time impact analysis as needed.
