The Opportunity

The Content & Channel Data & Analytics Manager will be instrumental in driving the success of digital marketing efforts at Abbott Diabetes Care by providing actionable insights and industry-leading measurement techniques needed for decision-making and optimization across digital marketing channels including website, social, etc. The role will have to leverage a wide variety of tools, data sources (Google Analytics, Salesforce.com, Google/Facebook ad accounts, Adobe analytics, etc.) and analytical techniques to answer a broad range of high-impact business questions on impact of digital marketing, CRM and ecommerce and present the insights in concise and effective manner. The role will also have to model complex problems, discover insights, and identify opportunities using statistical, machine learning, algorithmic, data mining and visualization techniques.

The individual will partner with Global cross functional partners, Area teams, Marketing and Market Insights teams, Countries, and agencies to develop and deliver these insights and business outcomes.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Work On

Digital marketing data and analytics strategy and governance:
  • Develop, implement, and refine digital attribution methodology and frameworks beyond last click to help drive harmonization across the organization
  • Source valuable data from a wide range of digital measurement systems (SFDC, GA, AA, Facebook, Google, SEMRush, CrownPeak), including real-time and large-scale sources, harmonizing and automating collection processes where applicable
  • Lead cost-effective storage and retrieval of data by leveraging data processing technologies (e.g., Spark) and programming languages (e.g., Python)
  • Partnering and collaborating with Global Market Insights to identify key metrics that drive the performance of digital marketing channels (website, social, etc.) to make data accessible to cross-functional partners through data visualization, dashboards and reports
Tracking of digital performance:
  • Put in place an effective system to track sales, digital acquisition and retention, etc. across digital marketing, CRM and ecommerce where applicable
  • Leverage data captured from digital marketing, CRM and ecommerce channels to provide inputs to both the Affiliates and the Area team on areas around KPIs tracking, etc.
  • Developing and implementing consistent tagging and taxonomy to support global web unification and content development
  • Proactively using GA and AA to identify what sources of traffic are working in converting on web or other channels and where there are opportunities to improve
  • Tracking and reporting on relevant digital channels and campaigns including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, brand website and SFDC/relevant CRM systems
  • The ability to combine data from multiple digital sources (SEO, Paid Search, Social Media, Paid Social, Email/SMS) to understand and improve customer experience across channels
Develop actionable insights that can be leveraged by cross functional teams:
  • Analyze data to discover trends and patterns in how audiences engage with our digital content, our owned social channels and our website
  • Develop data-driven insights that enable the organization to optimize and remove friction points along the digital journey
  • Decode the behaviors embedded deep into data sets using machine learning and advanced statistical algorithms
  • Able to derive the \xe2\x80\x9cso what\xe2\x80\x9d from models and support the development of compelling stories that facilitate action and drive growth.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful and impactful analysis characterized by strong data governance, technique clarity, and clear documentation
Stakeholder Partnership & Management:
  • Partner with cross functional teams within Global Strategic Marketing to help advance our approach to data and analytics for Abbott Diabetes Care
  • Partner with Areas and Affiliates on overall measurement frameworks and models to approach & recommend further collaboration initiatives across the region
  • Collaborate with Marketers and other cross-functional partners to transform data analytics into contextualized insights
  • Apply knowledge and analytics, in collaboration with cross-functional partners to inform future website updates, campaign and content production
Training & Development
  • Increase understanding of digital channels data throughout the Marketing organization (not exclusive to analytics team)
  • Support the skills\xe2\x80\x99 development, knowledge and competence of the Area and Affiliate teams to effectively execute their activities and gain competitive advantage.
  • Identify and share best practices across Area and Affiliates
  • Develop external partners, whose expertise can be leveraged to develop our skills and capabilities in this space
Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required with 8+ years in data science, analytics, digital
Experience/Background
  • Deep expertise in data science, machine-learning and marketing
  • Familiarity with R, SQL, Python, Scala, Java or C++, Salesforce.com, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CrownPeak, SEMRush, Facebook/Google advertising, etc.
  • Strong math skills (i.e., statistics, algebra), analytical thinking and business acumen
  • Strong data visualization skills and the ability to translate and communicate analytics and insights to non-technical audiences (e.g. PowerBI)
