Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.The Saint Alphonsus Medical Staff Services Department is hiring for a highly organized and adaptable part-time Continuing Medical Education Coordinator to work onsite at our Regional Medical Center in Boise!Position Summary & HighlightsAs the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator, you will coordinate activities and flow of work for the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program for the Saint Alphonsus Health System physicians.This position ensures institutional compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies governing CME, supports medical staff office functions, and coordinates key meetings and initiatives related to CME.The Coordinator also assists with special projects, cost containment, and performance measures, all while supporting the mission, vision, and core values of the organization.The Medical Staff Services Department provides medical staff with a variety of services to help them complete their jobs proficiently. The Department acts as a liaison between providers and administration, providing customer service to about 1,400 providers, and verify compliance and credentialing.As a colleague in the Department, you will learn compliance, credentialing, and continuing education requirements, while working in a strong customer service-based team environment.What You Will Do:Manage the daily activities and ensuring smooth workflow within the Saint Alphonsus Health System\xe2\x80\x99s CME Program.Coordinate logistics (reserving rooms, dates, technology) and obtaining speakers and relevant healthcare topics for monthly and quarterly events with service lines and also the Spring Symposium.Work with CME department representatives in the preparation and approval of CME educational activity applications and complete all related paperwork for the physicians\xe2\x80\x99 attending events which includes assuring institutional compliance with various accrediting and regulatory bodies governing CME.Regularly engages with a variety of contacts inside and outside the organization to obtain or relay information, arrange meetings, gather data, etc., including data that may be sensitive or confidential in nature. Often dealing with the CEO, physicians, Service Line Directors, Trinity Health colleagues and leadership, Medical Staff Office colleagues and influential outsiders.Serve as a key resource to staff regarding departmental policies, procedures, and services, providing guidance and ensuring clarity in program execution.Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program or area services and initiatives.Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, delegating work based on staff knowledge, skills, and experience while ensuring timely and appropriate completion.Assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment, and the implementation and evaluation of new services, systems, and performance measures.Coordinate the CME Medical Staff Committee, including preparing agendas and all necessary back-up material.Prepare the CME Committee Annual Report for the Chief of Staff/Executive Committee.Perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, including medical transcription, copying, collating, and distributing materials for the department.Stay updated on Continuing Medical Education trends and issues through educational programs, seminars, and readings.Responds to inquiries regarding departmental services, records and other matters by utilizing in-depth knowledge of departmental operations, and ability to interpret established departmental policies and procedures.Retrieves, receives, and reads incoming correspondence, reports, memoranda, and mail. Screens items that can be routinely handled, prepares appropriate responses, and forwards remaining materials to manager or others with necessary background information. Processes outgoing mail and packages.An ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, be extremely detail- oriented, and have solid previous prioritization/deadline experience and skills. An ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of the healthcare field, enjoy working with a variety of colleagues, and is very self-motivated.Work Schedule:This position will work 20 hours per week, Mondays \xe2\x80\x93 Fridays, flexible business hours.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
