And we do, because a trusted partner is who we are - and who we\'ve been for nearly a century.The overall duties of a Continuous Improvement Engineer Include:

  • Lead process improvement teams to achieve desired results
  • Mentor Metromont associates in lean principles and methodologies.
  • Provide information and technical support to plant management as needed.
  • Advocate changes in culture needed to drive continuous improvement; sometimes called upon to be a contrarian voice.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and presents those opportunities to department heads for consideration and action.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Education and Technology:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field, or
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing organization
  • Knowledgeable of TPS (Toyota Production System) principles of Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledgeable of Toyota Kata
