Job Purpose:Perform daily operations and maintenance of oil wells, manifold buildings, related equipment and facilities pertaining to oil production. Perform maintenance work on oil field related equipment and operate facilities pertaining to oil production.The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.Essential Job Functions:\xc2\xb7 Accountable for safe work practices and hazard recognition for your task.\xc2\xb7 Must be a self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.\xc2\xb7 Perform rigging, bolt-up craft work including all phases of advanced maintenance work related to Drill-sites and oil wells.\xc2\xb7 Adhere to material requirements and specifications; have the knowledge to identify materials related to piping, structural and architectural designs.\xc2\xb7 Must have knowledge to examine work and materials for compliance with job and safety specifications.\xc2\xb7 Perform safety and productivity observations including shop, field, and vehicle inspections; ensuring that all incidents are promptly reported.\xc2\xb7 Attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.\xc2\xb7 Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate support for the company\'s and client environmental management system.\xc2\xb7 Continually seek and implement work process improvements.\xc2\xb7 Routinely operate Worley/client light and/or medium duty vehicles.\xc2\xb7 Safely climb ladders of various heights.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\xc2\xb7 Advanced knowledge of facility or drill site production operations.\xc2\xb7 Have working knowledge and understanding of insulation materials, piping supports, pipeline, and facility piping.\xc2\xb7 Have a working knowledge of installation of piping spools and miscellaneous mechanical components to include carbon and Stainless-steel components.\xc2\xb7 Have the knowledge and skill to identify material needs related to piping, structural and architectural designs.\xc2\xb7 Be competent with mechanical skills, including ability to use proper tools and equipment applicable to petrochemical operation.\xc2\xb7 Have a working knowledge to replace ball, gate, plug and globe valves as required.\xc2\xb7 Must have a general knowledge of blueprints, P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s and capable of interpretation.\xc2\xb7 Have knowledge in fabrication, assembly, handling, installation, dismantling, adjustment, alteration and repair of all oil field process facilities and equipment.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of technical and safety policies, procedures, and standards.\xc2\xb7 Ability to work as part of a team with client, fellow workers and alternate.\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively communicate with fellow workers, alternate and client effectively.\xc2\xb7 Advanced ability to interpret mechanical drawings & P&ID.\xc2\xb7 Basic hand/power tool knowledge.\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret work instructions.\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in confined spaces.\xc2\xb7 Ability to operate vehicles (i.e., box van, flatbed).Physical Demands/Work Environment:Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:\xc2\xb7 Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.\xc2\xb7 Standing for prolonged periods of time.\xc2\xb7 Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather\xc2\xb7 Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.\xc2\xb7 Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.\xc2\xb7 Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.\xc2\xb7 Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.\xc2\xb7 Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.\xc2\xb7 Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.\xc2\xb7 Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.This job description is intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed,Preferred Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Process Safety Management (PSM) certification for drill site / facility operations.\xc2\xb7 One to two (1-2) years, experience in operations of the petrochemical industry\xc2\xb7 One (1) year experience using Process Safety Management (PSM) in the petrochemical industry.\xc2\xb7 Three to five (3-5) years, experience on the North Slope.\xc2\xb7 Process Technology Degree.
