Automated Building Systems, Inc. (ABS) is a leading Energy Management Systems contractor and is the authorized Alerton representative for all of Southern New England. ABS has been providing best-in-class products and exceptional customer service for more than 25 years throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Founded in 1986, ABS provides Alerton EMS solutions and our sole focus is on the needs of customers. ABS has grown over many years of service and is now in three locations: Glastonbury, CT, Southborough, MA, and Braintree, MA. Due to our growth, we are looking to add a few more Service Technicians/Control Programmers to service our MA customers.



A controls programmer/technician will program and design graphical displays within the design and fiscal parameters set forth by the System Development Team and Project Manager. They will be responsible for inspection and validation of all systems, assist with installation method direction on site representation, and system commissioning. They will be working with blueprints and building schematics. They will also report progress and issues back to the Project Manager as required, attend site meetings as needed, and provide daily reports to the Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum two years in Programming Field
• Minimum Years of BAS systems experience required: 5 Years
• Previous controls industry experience
• Minimum Years of Education required: Trade/Vocational school
• Ability to set up network systems
• Availability to work overtime as needed
• Self-motivated with a good attitude
• Experience with any of the following: Bacnet, DDC, Niagra AX, Tridium, LON, ALC, Siemens, or Metasys
• Preferred Alerton controls experience
• Specialty: Commercial, Residential
• Must have a valid driver s license
• Must be Authorized to Work in the US

We will also look at proficient HVAC technicians with controls experience and understanding of basic programming concepts, who possess the requirements.
