Job Description

Job Summary:

The Controller is responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, while monitoring the company\'s financial health. They ensure that budget, tax compliance, financial statements, and other related items remain efficient and accurate. The controller is involved in the day-to-day business operations and analytics for the department. This position has 2 direct reports and is the liaison for co-packing functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee General Accounting Functions

\xc2\xb7 Accounts Receivable and Account Payable

\xc2\xb7 Account reconciliation (Bank / General Ledger / Credit cards)

\xc2\xb7 Bank Deposits

\xc2\xb7 General ledger entries and analysis

\xc2\xb7 Create trial balance and financial statements

\xc2\xb7 File and monitor tax reporting

\xc2\xb7 Oversee payroll

\xc2\xb7 Establish budgets as needed

Manage Cash Flow

\xc2\xb7 Monitor payments to vendors

\xc2\xb7 Manage line of credit and bank loans

\xc2\xb7 Create weekly cash flow report

\xc2\xb7 Develop cash management improvements

Financial Management

\xc2\xb7 Create and analyze financial statements

\xc2\xb7 Oversee insurance issues as needed

\xc2\xb7 Interface with CPA

\xc2\xb7 Entering of purchase orders, change orders into accounting software

\xc2\xb7 Issuance, monitoring and reconciliation of company credit card accounts

\xc2\xb7 Review financial statements for accuracy and clarity

\xc2\xb7 Analyze & interpret financial and operational performance

Business Performance & Operations

\xc2\xb7 Manage co-packing business logistics and procurement

\xc2\xb7 Ensure timely execution of production planning and forecasting

\xc2\xb7 Analyze business performance, working with sales and marketing on performance metrics and KPI\'s

Perform analysis around key business segments and support follow up on performance gaps and recommendation

Required Skills/Abilities:

\xc2\xb7 Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain confidentiality with business related information.

\xc2\xb7 Flexibility with working hours.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google.

\xc2\xb7 General knowledge of QuickBooks and or other ERP systems.

Education and Experience:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree required, emphasis in accounting and or financial field.

\xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience in accounting/finance role.

\xc2\xb7 Beverage industry knowledge or general GCP knowledge preferred.
