Join our UCHealth team as a Cook at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. Active, fast-paced, and fun team! We\'re not just hospital food, we\'re at a fine dining restaurant level of food and service! Cooks and prepares food for distribution to patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.
Flexible hours for those in school or other pursuits.

This position is eligible for differential pay on weekends and nights. One free meal available per worked shift. Uniforms are provided. UCHealth offers a five year incentive bonus, annual summer picnic for employees and their family, and a selection of a holiday gift. Paid time off in part-time and full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared. Follows standardized recipes in preparation of all foods.
• Plans cooking schedule with supervisor and/or exec chef to ensure food will be ready at specified times.
• Confers with supervisor and/or exec chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.
• Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food as well as in the sanitation and maintenance of work area.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED,or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required.
• 1 year of experience required; 1 year culinary experience strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position is: $18.82 - $24.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant\'s relevant experience.

Shift Differential Opportunities for this job position:

Evenings: 3pm-11pm - $2.50/hr

Nights: 11pm-7am - $5.00/hr
