Innovation.We\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99re looking for an amazing Cook/Host professional to join our team at the Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. You will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and presenting hot and cold food items across various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will also be tasked with preparing and cooking meals for both buffet and a la carte service, following recipes, and maintaining a clean working environment. This person is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant area is clean, sanitized and reset throughout the day as well as ensuring that there is adherence to all relevant quality and food health and sanitation principles from the state and the company\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s own internal standards.Here\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s a summary of what Holland America Line-Princess is looking for in its Cook/Host. Is this you?Responsibilities:

• Responsible for food production.
• Inspects, cleans, and maintains equipment, kitchenware, chemicals, and linens. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
• Stocks kitchen; rotates and organizes product.
• Oversees financial accountability for purchasing, deliveries, distribution procedures, storage requirements, and inventory procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 1 year of Food and Beverage industry experience.
• Must be comfortable working around hot kitchen equipment safely.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a different shift as well as work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends when required to support business needs, projects or operations.
• Must be able to to lift 50lbs./23kg
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Participates in HAP\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s sustainability program, aka \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9cSustain Alaska & the Yukon\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9d, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• Employee required to work in winter, including a remote environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
