Summary:

53 By The Sea Cooks (Prep, Line, Lead) support the Back of House (BOH) team in the preparation and execution of all culinary operations. Utilizing recipes and menu items, the Cook prepares dishes for the restaurant and relevant events to the standard of a fine dining restaurant. The Cook will service various cooking stations as needed throughout the kitchen, including but not limited to prep, frying, saute, grill, etc.

Reports To: Executive Chef, CDC, Sous Chefs Department: BOH FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range:

$17~ $24/ hours salary will be commensurate with experience

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

53 By The Sea Cooks (Prep, Line, Lead) support the Back of House (BOH) team in the preparation and execution of culinary operations while following all health code standards. Utilizing recipes and menu items, the Cooks prepare dishes for the restaurant and relevant events to the standard of a fine dining restaurant. The Cooks will also service various cooking stations as needed throughout the kitchen, including but not limited to prep, frying, saute, grill, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1~5 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant and banquet kitchen environment
  • Proper knife skills and techniques
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Culinary School certificate or degree preferred but not required
  • Servsafe certification preferred but not required
  • TB Clearance
Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation: $17.00 to $24.00 / Hourly
