Overview

The Production Coordinator (Coordinator III) reports directly to the Library and Learning Commons (LLC) Library Assistant Lead and works closely with all staff members in the LLC. The working hours for this position vary based on the LLC operational needs. This position may require on-call and after-hours work. The position may also require some travel.

The Production Coordinator position provides a diverse range of customer service and/or routine general services and support to students, staff, and faculty. This person may perform clerical services, equipment operation, basic maintenance and repair, materials handling, logistical support, and/or other related duties in accordance with the day-to-day requirements for the LLC. This person may perform a combination of program-related and/or administrative functions to support or oversee community, social, and instructional programs; and/or coordinate people, information, events, or facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains equipment as needed (3D printer, Plotter Printer , Laminators, Cricut and Cricut Accessories, etc.).
  • Coordinates work with the LLC staff to maintain the LLC webpage, campus digital signs, and library social networking sites as needed.
  • Coordinates program/department activities including presentations, conferences, and events.
  • Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Maintains positive relationships and coordinates special projects with university administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
  • Provides high quality customer service.
  • Performs production management duties, including managing schedules/calendars, creating and processing forms, keeping records, and gathering data as appropriate.
  • Provides training, instruction, liaison services, and/or consultation to students, faculty, and staff in the use of specialized systems and services.
  • Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as requested.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of procedures while following USU Policy.
  • Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day management of supplies, equipment, and facilities for the production center.
  • Coordinates and schedules the use of the LLC Production Center.
  • Collaborates with faculty to design assignments/activities produced and supported in the Production Center.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Four years of experience; or an associate degree plus two years of experience; or a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Skilled in the use of computers.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Skilled at records maintenance.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Database management skills.
  • Knowledge of office management principles and procedures.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
  • Field specific knowledge, skills, and abilities as described in recruitment notice.
