The Corporate Health and Safety Intern help improve the safety culture and to meet/exceed regulatory and corporate policy requirements. The position is intended for an Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Engineering undergraduate or graduate student to obtain hands-on experience with a wide variety of tasks while contributing to the companyxe2x80x99s overall goals and objectives.Imagine an internship where you get the chance to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to a real-life environment and then multiply that tenfold. We look for people who want to grow, support, think, and produce. This is a paid internship opportunity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining EHS training programs.
  • Assist Corporate H&S Manager with maintaining safety and training records of field staff
  • Co-lead Corporate Safety Committee.
  • Support daily H&S activities (i.e., audits, incident investigations, corrective action follow-up etc.) in various industries and environments.
  • Assist Project Managers and supervisors with work planning and development of job hazard analysis and safe work procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Skills Required:
  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Engineering, or closely related degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills are mandatory.
  • Excellent, organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Possesses knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety-related procedures.
  • Must be a team player and possess a collaborative attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Prior internship and/or related engineering experience are a plus.
