JOB SUMMARY:
A seasonal team member position with the responsibility of performing as an animated character in a variety of body/fur-suit costumes while meeting, greeting, and entertaining our park guests with enthusiasm and high energy.
Pay rate: $10 hr
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Ensure a positive experience for every guest and maintain the illusion of costume characters in a professional manner.
Perform at onsite as well as off-site promotional events representing Six Flags Over Georgia.
Maintain character costumes including general cleaning and daily maintenance.
Maintain a clean working environment both in guest view and behind the scenes.
Attend all costumed appearances as seen necessary by department management/standards.
Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
Be available to work flexible hours early mornings, at nights, on weekends, and on holidays.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
React well in stressful and emergency situations.
Possess above-average communication skills.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
Be willing to actively engage guests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continued standing, and bending.
Eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
Work in heat, direct sunlight, cold, humidity, and temperature change for up to 45-minute intervals, and be able to perform specific choreographed movements.
Lift and wear 15 lbs. of costume weight.
