Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in direct support and special education, with a focus on behavioral health and child family counseling. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics, while ensuring accurate medical documentation practices are followed.

Duties

Provide direct support to clients through individual and group counseling sessions. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance counseling skills. Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with clients.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Experience in behavioral health. Familiarity with documentation practices. Strong understanding of pediatric and geriatric populations. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and connect with diverse individuals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve by providing essential support and guidance as a Counselor. Group facilitator for Substance abuse education, anger management, and domestic violence. Lead remotely and in-person group of 4-10 clients. Monday and Tuesday 6 pm-8:30pm. Possibly Saturday 9am-11am-Substance abuse Education. Write group notes in client's files. MFT license internship or other certificate hours provided to person needing them. Spanish fluency required, 40 hour domestic violence certificate preferred, in the process, or willing to pursue.

May lead into more hours.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.29 - $27.89 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
