POSITION: Crisis Responder Must be an Idaho Resident.
Work Location \xe2\x80\x93 Boise call center Multiple Shifts Available PT SALARY RANGE: $18.58 to $20.31 base pay + 10% shift differential for hours worked between midnight and 8:00 am. With the differential the range is $20.44 to $22.34 WHAT DOES IDAHO CRISIS & SUICIDE HOTLINE DO?
Since 2012, Idaho Crisis & Suicide Hotline (ICSH), a program of Jannus Inc., has provided free and confidential suicide and behavioral health crisis intervention to Idahoans in every county. We are committed to ensuring that those serve are heard and empowered with options to stay safe while supporting their emotional wellbeing. ICSH has provided 24/7 services since 2014. WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING? The Crisis Responder is responsible for receiving and responding to help-seekers through call, text, and web chat. Completing an assessment and intervention, ensuring safety, coordinating care, and documenting the interaction.

  • Respond to incoming contacts and requests for crisis and healthcare services across all contracts within scope of employee work; completes outbound calls, emails, text or chat to effectively coordinate care and resolve crisis situations; operate with accuracy, compassion, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate effective engagement skills; inspire hope and promote recovery and resiliency.
  • Screen incoming crisis requests resulting in safety and crisis resolution; effectively use the risk assessment tool to guide crisis intervention based on acuity and risk.
  • Utilize knowledge of healthcare industry standards and clinical assessment and intervention skills resulting in crisis or contact resolution.
  • Provide health education and community resources based on the intervention provided.
  • Participate in required training, supervision, meetings, and clinical oversight.
  • Demonstrate effective documentation skills; ensure all interactions are documented in the designated CRM in accordance with policies, procedures, and industry or organizational standards of practice.
  • Adhere to call center policy and procedures.

SCHEDULE
Multiple Shift Available: Day Shift: 7am-4pm, PT ~30 hours per week Swing Shift: 3pm-12am, PT ~30 hours per week Overnight Shift: 11pm- 8am, PT ~30 hours per week EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Responsive, compassionate individuals who are at least 21 years of age and have the ability to work in a fast-moving environment, multi-task and adapt to change.
Required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (psychology, social work, counseling or related field preferred), or
  • College or university studies related to behavioral health
  • Or, equivalent experience
Preferred Experience:
  • Behavioral health professional
  • Crisis call center
  • Community crisis center
  • Mobile Crisis
  • Trained in Applied Suicide Skills Training (ASIST) preferred, or will be provided.
