Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile Company/Business Unit performance and understand the drivers of profit/loss.
  • Prepare various monthly, quarterly and yearly variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain business annual financial plan, quarterly guidance updates and monthly profit estimates for one or more geographic business units.
  • Present findings, analysis and market views, in a clear, concise and meaningful manner to Company Business Leaders.
  • Work closely with Business Leaders across the Organization to provide routine reports and information as needed for business decisions.
  • Manage ad hoc projects and requests.
  • Design queries and reports in Microsoft Access Database to assist in data analysis.
  • Share responsibility for accurate and timely publishing of prices for postings and various other pricing mechanisms. This duty occasionally involves work during holidays, either from home or in office.
  • Perform SOX controls and assist in audits related to pricing.
Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Energy Commerce, Energy Management, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years work experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must have advanced Excel and excellent math skills, as well as strong critical thinking skills for analysis and problem solving.
  • MS Access Skills are desirable, with ability to design complete queries as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of management.
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities, multi-task and change direction in a variety of workplace situations.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Adherence to strict deadlines for all work products.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
  • Compliance with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing.
