Summary StatementThe\\r\ first level in the custodial services series performs the full range of\\r\ essential functions as described.\\r\ Essential FunctionsEssential functions are fundamental, core functions common\\r\ to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive\\r\ list of all job duties for any one position in the class.\xef\xbf\xbdSince class\\r\ specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job\\r\ duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Cleans walls, floors, carpets and other interior building\\r\ components by mopping, scrubbing, waxing and shampooing or vacuuming.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures; washes windows.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Empties and cleans wastebaskets, garbage containers and\\r\ ashtrays.\xef\xbf\xbdTransports trash to disposal area.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Disinfects bathrooms, kitchens and kitchen appliances,\\r\ patient/clinic rooms, examination rooms; replenishes soap and paper supplies;\\r\ changes bed linens.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Moves and arranges furniture; hangs drapes and window\\r\ shades.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Operates a variety of custodial equipment such as wet/dry\\r\ mops and vacuums, scrubbers, carpet shampooers and buffers.\xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ Uses items such as brooms, ladders, brushes, and mixtures\\r\ of water/chemical solutions.\\r\ \xef\xbf\xbd\\r\ May sweep sidewalks and patios, shovel snow and pick up\\r\ trash.\\r\ Additional Posting InformationThis is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.\\r\ Conditions of HireApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
