Job Description

: The Grow Technician is responsible for all aspects of the growing process including but not limited to defoliating, harvesting, cloning and cleaning. In addition, the grow technician is responsible for properly monitoring feeds, environmental conditions and plant health. This position is an integral piece of the growing process. The Grow Technician will have the opportunity be part of all aspects of the growing process from cloning and propagation thru harvest and beyond. Responsibilities: The Grow Technician is involved in all cultivation activities as directed. These activities include, but are not limited to:

• Transplanting
• Cloning
• Watering
• Defoliating
• Monitoring environmental conditions in the grow room and alerting the Cultivation Manager to any irregularities or issues
• Monitoring plant health and alerting Cultivation Manager to any irregularities or issues
• Cleaning; including effectively washing and cleaning equipment, vents, fans, hoods, etc.
• Entering, tracking, monitoring and weighing all cannabis waste that is generated
• Harvesting
• Completing tasks consistently and efficiently with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ensuring quality control for a clean, seedless, pest and pathogen free final product
• Helping the post-harvest team with any tasks required including bucking, burping and minimal trimming.
• Reporting any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing or Cultivation Manager
• Helping the Cultivation Manager with any other tasks related to the growing and harvest process as necessary

Qualifications:

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high- quality products
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• At least 2 years experience in Cultivation or Horticulture

Preferred Experience:

• Two years of commercial Grow experience
• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Experience working in a high-volume factory/continuous production line
• Familiarity with agricultural hand tools
• Experience in commercial food production or clean room processes

Working Conditions:

• The person in this position will constantly be exposed to dust, terpenes, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Sitting, standing and walking motion/movement will be required throughout the shift (up to 10 hours)
• Constant movement and use of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
• Daily lifting, positioning or moving items up to 50 pounds
