Job Responsibilities

With our Agency\'s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Division of Inpatient Services to include: G. Werber Bryan; William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute; Morris Village.

As the Building/Grounds Specialist I, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks in a patient care area to maintain a sanitary and therapeutic environment. You will operate various equipment (buffers, vacuums, carpet machines, etc.) used in the performance of these duties.

BPH is a SMOKE-FREE Campus.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement: There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.

Preferred Qualifications

Agency Preference: Any combination of experience or training that would enable an applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Additional Comments

The selected applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must also be willing to work holidays and week-ends as scheduled. Some positions may require heavy lifting and/or a valid driver\'s license.
