Job Description

This position is for the 2023-2024 school year.

Hebron Middle School is looking for an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented person to perform custodial activities from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. We want an individual who takes pride and initiative to maintain our building in top condition. Experience with a variety of cleaning equipment, maintenance, and trouble-shooting is a must. This includes (but is not limited to): halls, classrooms, restrooms, cafeteria, library, gym, building structure, and adjacent grounds areas. He/she is expected to maintain the facility in a clean, orderly and secure condition. The head custodian also oversees duties of night sweepers.

This position is 8 hours per day and 260 days per year. Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below)

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire

Step 0: $13.39

Step 10: $15.24

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
