Overview:The primary function of the Data and Gift Specialist I is to process charitable donations made to Children\'s Mercy Hospital and Children\'s Mercy Hospital Foundation.A basic knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation, as well as accuracy are very important. A customer service attitude together with tactful expression, spoken and written, are essential skills for communicating with department staff and donors.This position requires a very detail-oriented person; a person who is willing and capable of working in a team environment. This person must use critical thinking skills in all aspects of this job. The decisions the Data and Gift Specialist I makes not only impacts the integrity of the information contained in constituent records, but also the accuracy by which outcome measures are evaluated. The candidate for this position must have basic computer skills as well familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
