We are seeking an experienced Data Center Facilities Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of building and facility infrastructure for one of Verizon\'s critical enterprise data centers, ensuring 100% uptime of that environment. You are able to independently perform infrastructure and building preventative maintenance tasks as well as interact with the team to solve technical issues. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you can manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while staying focused on maintaining reliability and uptime. As a contributor, you can quickly build relationships with a diverse group of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
Understanding of building, mechanical and electrical system operation, maintenance and repair on UPS, emergency power generators, cooling, fire, building automation systems and other systems
Troubleshooting alarms and failures on data center infrastructure equipment, stabilizing the situation, and escalating issues

Sharing ownership of campus physical security
Providing 24/7/365 technical support of the data center by participating in shift and on-call rotating schedules - this is a first shift position (including weekends) with on-call responsibilities and the flexibility to cover other shifts as needed

While you consider yourself an independent self-starter, you\'re also a great teammate who communicates effectively with a variety of people. Organized and detail-oriented, you\'re a strong project coordinator with the ability to handle timelines and budgets. You\'re not afraid to be a leader in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
