Job Summary

The Data Center Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the deployment of Data Center computing equipment and associated infrastructure equipment. The incumbent is responsible for accepting problems reported by customers, assisting in the analysis of the problem and coordinating resolution of the problem.

Requirements


----------------

EDUCATION



Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' related experience will be considered.


EXPERIENCE



Minimum three (3) years' experience in data center operations and/or data communications, hardware support, OS installation environment and proficient in Fiber connectivity, CISCO equipment, SAN/local storage equipment, Palo Alto Networks, and cross platform hardware.


Minimum three (3) years' experience with data center hardware, OS installations, and cabling.


Knowledge of Data Center Operations, SAN Storage, CISCO Switches, CISCO Routers, Palo Alto Networks, and Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

Absorbs, quickly, in-depth information regarding micro and mainframe computer hardware, micro and mainframe computer application software, internal procedures and regulations pertaining to all programs administered by the customer., Demonstrates ability in a data center environment with hardware installations, cable and circuit testing, cable terminations, hardware replacement and deployment of Operating Systems., Demonstrates proficiency in using SERVICE NOW product or equivalent., Efficiently manages various interpersonal relationships that must be maintained., Ensures continuity of operations and the accurate and timely completion of scheduled installations., Logs issues, analyzes recurring problems to identify trends and make recommendations regarding preventive measures., Performs other duties as required., Works under the direction of the Data Center Operations supervisor in coordinating all resources necessary for on-time completion of the workload for the assigned with proper supervision.
