We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic IT team. Reporting to the Manager of IT Data Services and Intelligence, the successful candidate will oversee and maintain our enterprise database infrastructure, focusing on SQL Server and Azure SQL databases. This role ensures database reliability, performance, and security while supporting data warehouse and development initiatives.
This position includes participation in a remote on-call rotation. Periodic travel to a JAX site is expected 3x per year.

Database Administration
Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries.
Manage backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Perform capacity planning and optimize performance.
Ensure database security and compliance.
Security and Compliance
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
Ensure regulatory compliance, including encryption and access controls.
Conduct regular security assessments and address vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with IT security to respond to incidents.
Data Warehouse and BI Support
Manage data warehouses and ETL processes.
Oversee SSIS and Python solutions for data integration.
Collaborate with BI teams for reliable data integration.
MS Fabric and Power BI Support
Administer Power BI datasets, workspaces, and reports.
Support Microsoft Fabric initiatives.
Data Development and Release Support
Collaborate with developers on database solutions.
Guide best practices for database design and data modeling.
Manage Python environments for ETL and automation tasks.
Support Python-based workflows and scripts.
Administer Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
Coordinate release activities to ensure minimal downtime.
What
You're
Good At
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
Proficiency with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022/Azure SQL Managed Instance.
Experience with DW/BI tools like SSIS, Power BI, and MS Fabric.
Proficiency in managing Git repositories and source control workflows.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
The salary range is $98,885 - $165,554. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant years of experience.
