Job Description
As one of the oldest tours in Kona we've established a well-standing rafting adventure company. With new ownership within the past few years, we've transitioned into a tour company that gives back to the island through prioritizing ecotourism. Captain Zodiac is a family-owned small business with a tight-knit culture that fully embraces open communication. We are seeking part-time deckhands, with First aid/CPR (before start of working).
Job description:
Start times vary due to the different tours we offer but hours to consider are 7-5:45 and on the schedule one to three days each week. Must have availability Wednesdays.
Duties include but not limited to:
Keeping a watchful eye during trailering of boats to and from yard, gas station, shop and ramp.
Preparing the boat each morning with captain with air pressure, water filled, check gear to make sure was cleaned and stowed, gassing boat, packing cooler with drinks, packing snack bags.
Board guests safely and give proper safety briefing, stow guests bags, make sure everyone is seated and holding on. Watch for marine life and boat hazards. Presenting a snorkel briefing and demonstration, life guarding during snorkel time, assist passengers with gear before climbing ladder. Assist guests during off load.
Washing the boat/snorkel gear at the end of the day, covering, unloading cooler and snack bags, vacuuming and making sure ice is stocked.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
