Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for our patients and staff by ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored. This position requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Duties

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Monitor sterilization processes and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments are available and sterile. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with dental staff to support patient care and assist with procedures as needed. Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary. Stay updated on best practices in infection control and participate in ongoing training as required.

Skills

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, particularly within pediatrics. Familiarity with sterilization equipment and techniques, including the use of 3D scanners. Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
