Deputy City Engineer
Job Description
The City of Saline is accepting applications for a full time Deputy Engineer. Working under the direction of the City Engineer, this position serves to internally support the management of the City\'s public infrastructure, which includes approximately 53 miles of water main, 43 miles of sanitary sewer, 47 miles of storm sewer, 35 miles of road, 3 bridges, a dam, a water treatment plant, a wastewater treatment plant, and 12 parks. The Deputy Engineer will play a key role in coordinating acceptance of public infrastructure built during the private development process. Assists the City Engineer with conversion of the existing Capital Improvement Plan to an asset management-based plan utilizing GIS technology. Makes priority driven recommendations on public infrastructure projects.
Bachelor\'s degree in a related field is required, with 2 to 6 years of prior experience in municipal civil engineering preferred. PE or EIT required within 1 to 2 years of hire, and some GIS experience required. Visit the City of Saline website for full job description: .
