ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Office of Communications and Strategy is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Deputy Director Communications & Strategy. Supports the Chief Communications & Strategy Officer in overseeing and directing the operations of the Communications & Strategy Department in its support of other county departments and the Board of County Commissioners. This includes providing strategic direction to staff in the dissemination of information internally, externally, and through our digital interfaces for both audiences.This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.This position is a management position and excluded from membership in the union.Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.NOTE: A cover letter and resume are required in addition to the completed employment application. Experience in a public agency setting and prior management experience are desirable. Master\'s Degree preferred. Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the \xe2\x80\x9cEducation\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cWork Experience\xe2\x80\x9d sections of the application.
