Learn more about our in our .Project Overview:Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far - enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services.Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway.The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.Bechtel is proud to play a critical role in the U.S. transition to cleaner energy and offers the following opportunity on the Thacker Pass Project.Job Summary:In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied. #LI-NP1Major Responsibilities:

• Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
• Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
• Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client\'s communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
• Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations
• Oversees jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
• Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
• Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
• Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
• Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.

Education and Experience Requirements:Level 1

• Requires bachelor\'s or master\'s degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience

Level 2

• Requires bachelor\'s or master\'s degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of all disciplines, all construction technologies and job-site management.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes
• Knowledge of Bechtel\'s \xe2\x80\x9cZero Accidents\xe2\x80\x9d safety program.
• Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements and general awareness of environmental laws.
• Knowledge of government compliance standards.
• Heavy industrial US direct hire construction experience
• Experience managing union craft.
• Knowledge of local labor laws and issues.
• Thorough knowledge of the project Labor Management Plan.
• Knowledge of manual craft timekeeping, word processing, spreadsheet and other standard applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
• Knowledge of project and Bechtel Quality Assurance program.
• Working knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs)
• Prior US Mega-Project experience
