Design Strategist

The Opportunity:

As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll use your skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and on a variety of communication materials that support a defense client contributing to national security.


As a design strategist on our team, you'll develop creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to develop and implement a social media strategy to achieve desired perceptions among the target audience.


As the organizational advisor of all aspects of social media, you'll work with a team of editors and subject matter experts, author an overarching strategy, make recommendations for growth, develop content, oversee the organization's presence on various platforms, manage promotion strategies and assess performance against objectives. Your creative thinking will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

You Have:

6+ years of experience developing communication strategies and content Experience with all forms of media, such as traditional, digital, and social Experience conducting audience and market research Ability to measure and assess performance of various forms of communication against objectives Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Top Secret clearance A bachelor's degree in communications, advertising or marketing

Nice If You Have:

Experience working in the defense industry Experience with AP style Knowledge of the Indo-Pacific region's culture, language or customs

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
