SUMMARY
The Development Accounting Manager reports to the Assistant Controller - Development and will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financials for all development entities and pre-development activities. The Development Accounting Manager maintains important strategic relationships with the development and asset management teams. They are also a key person in the company\xe2\x80\x99s relationships with its external partners and lenders. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated collaborative team player with the ability to foster good working relationships across the organization as well as with our external partners. The person must possess an excellent work ethic with the ability to organize and lead multi-disciplined teams.
They must be deadline oriented and able to motivate team members to collectively meet the many deadlines facing the development group monthly. Candidate must also pose tenacity and attention to detail and/or processes. The role supports multiple business verticals at Portman.
POSITION
This position is responsible for timely reviewing and compiling lender draw packages, statements of partnership equity, draw roll forwards, and monthly project entity financial statements, and assisting the development team with budget overages and project cost analytics for a portfolio of assets in various stages of development from pre-construction to fully operational.
