Position:Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development & Communications Associate is a full-time position that supports the Foundations Annual Giving efforts, including fundraising, events, marketing and communications.Responsibilities:Development\xc2\xb7 Support the Development Manager, President & CEO, and Development Committee in pursuit of the Foundations ambitious fundraising and engagement goals;\xc2\xb7 Manage gift processing, entry in the Foundations CRM system, creation and mailing of tax acknowledgement letters in an efficient and timely manner;\xc2\xb7 Produce regular gift and other activity reports for staff team, Development Committee and Board of Directors;\xc2\xb7 Produce periodic donor reports and prospect lists using CRM database for purposes of ongoing donor tracking and moves management;\xc2\xb7 Help prepare development solicitation mailings as well as an effective process to communicate results with appropriate constituents;\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with staff and Events Committee to develop annual engagement events calendar and identify new opportunities;\xc2\xb7 Support development events including invitations, RSVP tracking and event logistics;\xc2\xb7 Coordinate volunteers that support Development and Events committees;\xc2\xb7 Draft calendar and deliverable timetables for development activities.Communications\xc2\xb7 Oversee calendar and deadlines for printed collateral, including the Annual Appeal, Annual Report, and Annual Luncheon;\xc2\xb7 Manage and regularly update contact information in CRM database;\xc2\xb7 Manage email communication contact list;\xc2\xb7 Manage regular website updates;\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with contract positions on additional communications and marketing work over time.Experience/Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with a wide variety of people\xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and written communication skills\xc2\xb7 Exceptionally detail-oriented, with strong time management to accommodate multiple projects and ability to prioritize\xc2\xb7 Works well independently and is a proactive problem-solver\xc2\xb7 Fluent with email and Microsoft suite; ability to learn new database and other software systems\xc2\xb7 Fundraising, events, marketing or communications experience preferred\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with New Canaan a plus\xc2\xb7 Interest in philanthropy and supporting the local nonprofit sectorPosition & Compensation:This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Anticipated working hours are 40 hours/week but could be adjusted to part-time for the right candidate. The Foundation currently operates on a hybrid schedule, with both in-person and remote work days.Salary for this position is based on experience but expected to be approximately $50,000-$55,000 annually.
