Summary
Position Summary
Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients of all ages and physical abilities. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at, the request of a licensed practitioner.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate of an approved sonography school preferred.
License/Certifications: Current ARDMS Certification or obtained within 1 year of hire. Current CPR certification.
Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.
Maintains Ultrasound knowledge by attending meetings or by the use of journals and articles
Obtain appropriate CEU to maintain licensure
Seek opinions of Radiologist or other sonographers when a case is in question
Able to use Vrad/Synergy system for off hours exams.
Understands protocols and procedures for each exam
