ProMedica Physicians have locations serving northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, all working together with a single mission: the health of our communities.Performs a variety of technical procedures in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves at the physician's request for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Key member of a patient centric care delivery model for high quality and service within the office setting. Performs at or above the standards of care set for the superior patient experience in clinical and non-clinical settings. Able to proficiently and effectively navigate through multiple information technology platforms and applications to provide and support best practices/protocols, value based care, supporting, implementing, and demonstrating the Core Values of ProMedica. • Operates ultrasound instrumentation in accomplishing various ultrasound tests according to established procedures.
• Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures to patients while performing studies.
• Recognizes the significance of all images that appear on the monitor.
• Differentiates artifacts from normal or pathological processes, to recognize electronic equipment limitations, and be capable of recognizing a diagnostic scan.
• Cleans equipment; cleans, adjusts and checks focusing on the cameras.
• Review journals, attends conferences and/or in-services to keep abreast of changes or enhancements in techniques and procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Assists in other areas of the practice when patient volume allows.
• Participates in practice staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a business emphasis.
• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have had the equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service
• Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquires; requires effective interpersonal skills
• Must be able to input and retrieve information from a computer.
• Must be able to operate ultrasound equipment.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and or carry light equipment and supplies.
