Hours: 5am-5pm Monday- Friday
Pay: $27.50/hr - $35.30/hr
Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic at our Ft. Calhoun Mine. This position involves repairing and maintaining mobile equipment such as haul trucks, wheel loaders, drills, roof bolters etc. This position may also be responsible for operating mobile equipment, fixed plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary.
Essential Functions
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all mobile equipment
- Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work in outdoor environment and in elevated areas
- Ability to cut, weld and fabricate will be preferred
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; .
- Prior experience with maintenance
- Mechanical Knowledge
- 3 + years Diesel Engine experience
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- 2 year degree in welding or diesel mechanics or
- Certificates in welding or diesel mechanics

This job operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
