What is your mission?

The Senior Forensic Analyst (SFA) will help in the digital forensics lab in supporting the investigative mission of a US Government Agency. The SFA is familiar with forensic best practices in using the hardware and software in an organized way to acquire and analyze evidence. Demonstrates their working knowledge of relevant legal concepts such as chain of custody, best evidence rule, plain view doctrine, search and seizure issues at a practical level, and required levels of proof (such as probable cause and beyond reasonable doubt). To be successful, the SFA must be versed in a variety of digital forensics topic areas and will be called upon to provide mentoring to current digital forensics lab personnel on these concepts.

  • Helps in planning, designing, developing, and deploying an efficient workflow between field offices and the digital forensics lab.
  • Initiates mobile device forensic research projects.
  • Performs digital forensic examination functions: data extraction/imaging, review, and analysis.
  • Creates finished written and/or oral intelligence or investigative reports and studies pertaining to the digital data.
  • Mentors and trains current digital forensics lab personnel in current incident response best practices and advanced digital forensics methods.
  • Serves as a senior authority and subject matter expert (SME) regarding the entire spectrum of mobile device forensic-related issues.
  • Introduces new forensic products, creating intelligence products to initiate or support internal security functions, criminal prosecutions.
  • Proposes recommendations for positive change to the digital forensics lab program.
  • Independently conducts, monitors, coordinates, and performs research to support digital forensic investigations and proactive initiatives.
  • Serves as an escalation resource for agency cases being managed by Cellebrite Technical Customer Support or Cellebrite Advanced Services.
  • Applies flexibility and exercise judgment and initiative, while negotiating the various requirement of the US Government Agency business units in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Capable of serving as an inter-agency liaison, on intelligence assessments based on cellular device forensics.
  • Apprises policy and intelligence officials at all levels within the organization on emerging mobile device forensic trends by preparing intelligence reports and presenting briefings.

The superpowers we are looking for:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required. We will not be sponsoring this process.
  • Possess one or more current industry standard forensic certifications with practical, real-world experience in conducting digital forensics and/or mobile device forensic investigation in criminal matters and testifying in courts of law about these digital examinations.
  • Possess strong skills in processing of digital evidence from a variety of data sources with required credentials and demonstrable digital forensic analyst skills.
  • Minimum of three years of experience of utilizing digital forensic tools and methodologies in a commercial, government, or academic setting, and is highly proficient with industry standard forensic tools and methodologies.
  • Certifications Preferred: (A+, CISSP, CFCE (Certified Forensic Computer Examiner), EnCE, ACE, CCE (Certified Computer Examiner), GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst), GCFE (GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner), CCPO (Cellebrite Certified Premium Operator), CCO (Cellebrite Certified Operator), CCPA (Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst), CCME (Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner), CCOF (Cellebrite Chip-Off Forensics), CERT-F (Evidence Repair Technician).

Location: Washington, DC- This position is an onsite position at our Tyson\'s Corner Office in VA/ Federal Agency 5 days a week.
