Job Title: Digital Media Manager

Summary of Position:
The Digital Media Manager oversees the organization\'s social media presence and websites, handling content creation, post management, follower engagement, web traffic, and fulfills roles as an in-house videographer, photographer, and podcast production manager.
Essential Functions:
Design and implement social media strategy to align with the company\'s goals.
Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, graphics, videos and news).
Manage the main website content to keep updated, maintain community calendar, advertising, job postings, staff listings and member-to-member deals, etc.
Manage the publication website content to keep updated with articles, podcasts and advertising.
Oversee podcast production to include recording, editing, publishing and marketing.
Serve as primary on-staff videographer for social media, website, company publications and marketing campaigns.
Serve as secondary on-staff photographer for social media, website, and company publications.
Prepare monthly reports on website analytics and social media marketing efforts to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness.
Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor reviews.
Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging.
Oversee social media accounts\' design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and highlights).
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness (e.g., promotions and competitions).
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
Oversee digital projects, archiving photos and videos; create, edit, and upload for website and social media.
Works across departments to ensure website and social media content is current.
Supports the importance of Diversity, Equity, and inclusion throughout the company and its program of work.
Attends staff, departmental meetings, and safety and health training, as required, on time.
Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.
Observes and practices all safety procedures and policies.
Travels as required.

Skills, knowledge and abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job).
Excellent copywriting skills.
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, graphics and video).
Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
Proficient shooting and editing videos for social media and event promotions.
Ability to record, edit and publish a monthly podcast.
Ability to be self-sufficient, independent, and resourceful.
Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and members face to face.
Ability to communicate clearly, orally, in writing, and uses emotional intelligence to work through challenges and issues.
Must be able to effectively deal with volunteers, the media and the public in a congenial manner.
Must possess communication skills to deal and negotiate with members of all backgrounds and personalities.
Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.
Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
Must have above average computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe Creative Suite.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals.
Must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift and carry up 25 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to see within normal range with or without corrective lenses.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers and wrists repetitively on a keyboard.
Must be able to occasionally climb stairs.
Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day.
Must be adaptable to change with short notice.

Position requires meetings and activities outside of regular work hours; must be flexible
Experience/Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Broadcast Journalism or related field. Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.). Additional certifications such as Google Analytics and Google AdWords is preferred. Must have a valid driver\'s license and pass a background and motor vehicle check.
