We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you assist, including individuals in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice care settings. Your commitment to patient care and ability to manage behaviors will be crucial in fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities or health challenges, ensuring their daily needs are met. Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce conflicts. Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and social interactions. Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.

Requirements

Previous experience in direct support or patient care is preferred. Knowledge of conflict management techniques and behavior management strategies is advantageous. Experience working with individuals in hospice care or assisted living settings is a plus. A valid driver's license is required for transporting clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.68 per hour
