YOUR LIFE AS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL / PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT This part-time position is looking for someone who is available on weekday afternoons and some Saturdays. As a Direct Support Professional / Personal Care Attendant, you support individuals with developmental disabilities. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including medication administration, hygiene, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping. You also assist with grocery shopping, running errands, and finding activities that they enjoy. As needed, you provide physical support such as lifting individuals in and out of wheelchairs. Using effective mentoring techniques, you provide hand-over-hand assistance. You help to maintain individuals\' personal spending ledgers and review their checking/savings accounts as needed. You also assist with employment, making sure individuals are able to perform their jobs as expected. Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. You find it rewarding to help others lead self-fulfilling lives!
ABOUT TURN COMMUNITY SERVICES Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted better program services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities across Utah. With locations from Brigham City to St. George, we offer a full range of services including day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 18+ years of age
• Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to read
• Valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation with current insurance
• A heart for serving individuals with disabilities
