Director CAREER SERVICES

This position reports directly to the S. Vice President of Operations. The individual classified in this job is expected to perform all the details involved in the job and, on occasion, may be required to perform functions of a higher or lower skill level not included in this job posting.

Primary Objective: Provide effective executive leadership in managing the activities of the FEC Adult and Dislocated Worker Programs, employment and programmatic efforts in the provision of employment and training service to employers and job seekers.

Job Duties.

• Execute marketing and outreach programs to identify and connect with employers needing performance services offered through the Missouri Career Center System of Kansas City & Vicinity across multiple counties and regions.
• Leads staff efforts through in providing quality employment services to employers, which lead to the employment of job seekers using the Missouri Career Center System.

• Direct staff in quality counseling, case management, training, and employment services to job seekers.

Will lead case management efforts as evaluated for performance management.

• Execute a thorough follow-up system to provide quality follow-up services to job seekers and employers.
• Provide management and oversight of FEC field offices to assure achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
• Provide quality outreach services to ensure programs are made available to all areas and constituents of the Kansas City & vicinity and Eastern Jackson County service area.
• Work effectively with partnership organization, contract providers, and other stakeholder\xe2\x80\x99s interest to achieve system goals and objectives.
• Lead staff efforts resulting in the achievement of performance standards and contact requirements as required by funders and other organizational needs.
• Lead staff efforts through peer and staff-oriented team efforts to ensure quality results and goal achievement.
• Work effectively with peers, staff, and management to execute the strategic and operational goals of the organization.
• Provides staff support to appropriate volunteer committees of the policy and oversight structures of the FEC.

Requirements:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in work experience at the leadership or functional level, dependent upon position one year experience in leading a Career Center Operation, Workforce Development, three years experience in Workforce Development Programs and or Programs funded by the Department of Labor (DOL), preferred, 3-5 years leading and directing at senior level. Must have superior data entry skills, ability to work effectively with internal team members to achieve results that are verified by independent third parties\xe2\x80\x99 program. Results are achieved through automated case management system that requires real time data entry to document program results. Must have excellent reference, reliable transportation with auto insurance and be able to work in a culturally diverse work environment.
