Overview

Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women\xe2\x80\x99s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

The Associate Director \xe2\x80\x93 Contracts & Business Insights plays an integral role in the US Generics Marketing operations for both inline and pipeline products. This role will develop an overall understanding of each vertical within the group and provide insights across pricing, contracting,competitive intelligence and market landscape. This role will interface with multiple groups across theorganization, including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Legal and Regulatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the profitability and growth of the US Generics group by monitoring sales, profitability, market share and competitive landscapes.
  • Works closely with the Sales and Marketing team to support Rx Generics strategy to achieve sales objectives (market share, sales and margin) which correlates to successful product launches, increases market penetration and profitability on the new and inline product portfolio.
  • Develop processes and procedures as it pertains to contracting strategies, including requests for new contracts, renewals and other analyses that may be required.
  • Oversee the Contracting process for all retail, institutional and private label customers.
  • To assist in the development of marketing strategy as it relates to increasing share, while generating acceptable revenue, margins and market share.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current generic market landscape for all products in the portfolio.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across the department.
  • Research, evaluate and respond for pricing challenges/bids presented by customers or sales team for assigned customers.
  • Facilitate customer RFPs by utilizing established pricing strategies and applying to bid analysis. Analyze the value of losses, awards, and retained business once finalized bid results are received and communicate such results internally, as appropriate
  • Assist in developing new product launch analysis and pricing strategy
  • Understanding market dynamics for assigned customers, including business performance and trends.
  • Broad knowledge of US Generics Marketing, Pricing & Portfolio Analytics
  • Development of key department metrics and utilization of systems and tools to report, analyze and create recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Provide weekly insights for key inline products with respect to trends, which may include market share, prescription data, sales information and bidding activity.
  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required from time to time
Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Pharmacy/Scientific discipline, or a similar degree; advanced degree in business management or science preferred
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong market research and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be innovative and solve problems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with IMS Health/IQVIA
  • Understanding of statistical analysis of financial data
  • Strong and proven quantitative, qualitative, analytical reasoning and technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex assignments requiring integration of multiple discipline
