ROLE TITLE: Director, Corps Member Program (Full time)POSITION REPORTS TO: Amber Masters, VP, Statewide Innovation & PartnershipsAPPLICATION DEADLINE: June 12, 2024 at 11:59pmLOCATION: Tulsa, OklahomaWHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DOThe Director, Corps Member Program manages the efforts to confirm and matriculate the corps, ensuring they are prepared to join the work in the region and building a positive corps culture along the way. As the Director you will work with our regional partners to oversee the corps member hiring and licensing process, design and oversee the process for corps member certification, and will coordinate the design and delivery of corps member onboarding to prepare them for the first day of school. In addition, you will lead the planning and execution of corps member pre-service, ensuring incoming corps members have an opportunity to teach summer school before the academic year begins. Lastly, in partnership with Managing Director, Leadership Developments, you will oversee the planning and execution of corps member programming, particularly events.WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORConfirm and Onboard Incoming Corps Members (30%)Manage a world class confirmation and matriculation strategy that allows us to maximize our incoming corps size and build a diverse force of corps members.Leverage the national curriculum and design regionally relevant additions to equip our incoming corps with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to become systems change teachers and leaders for educational equity.Ensure incoming corps members are licensed to teach in the State of Oklahoma, according to district, state, and organizational requirements, by the first day of schoolPartner with VP, Statewide to create contracts and execute hiringDesign and execute a strategy to create a thriving TFA community among our incoming corps and to meaningfully connect them early on to other members of the community (corps, alumni, staff, and community members)Corps Member Programming & Support (30%)Oversee a collaborative planning process for all corps experiences, events, and professional developmentCreate and manage systems to project manage team members to design and execute successful all corps experiences, events, and professional developmentCreate systems to communicate and track progress toward certification requirements to ensure corps members meet all certification requirements throughout the yearDevelop Summer Practicum Experience (25%)In collaboration with district partners, co-create the summer school structures that will allow incoming CMs to engage in the regional practicum.Lead the planning, project management, and execution of the regional pre-service ensuring our newest corp members have a summer school teaching experience. This includes engaging with the national CMALD team to internalize the national vision for pre-service and lead the regional design and execution of the vision for practicum in Oklahoma.Collective Responsibilities (15%)Integrate and drive toward National and Regional Priorities in workParticipate in all staff regional commitments (e.g., selection, matriculation, all corps events, team meetings)Actively participate and seek out experiences that push your perspective along our DEI outcomesAttend and actively engage in professional development conferences and learning groupsAdapt to the changing needs of the organization, supporting various initiatives as neededResponsibly steward resources through consistent compliance with all employee policies and expectations policies and expectationsA WEEK IN THE LIFEOver the course of any week, the Director, Corps Member Program could spend time:Leading an onboarding session for incoming corps membersMeeting with district partners to plan summer pre-serviceCollaborating with MDLDs on corps member development and eventsUpdating systems on CM certification and data to track progressLiaise with national team members to manage matriculation and retention of corps membersYOUR EXPERIENCEExceptional project management skills and the ability to navigate a project with multiple moving pieces and playersAbility to manage through ambiguity and be flexible in navigating uncertaintyAbility to design high impact adult learning experiences, both virtual and in person, that lead to measurable outcomes and build cultureAbility to build relationships and create alignment with individuals from a wide range of perspectivesAbility to influence others (peers and/or corps members) to achieve outcomesDeep understanding of race and class and a commitment to social justiceAbility to analyze and use large amounts of data to inform and adjust strategyBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree requiredBONUS (preferred qualifications)Preferred Prior Experience and/or Education:Teach For America corps member and/or staff member experience is strongly preferredAt least 4 years of professional experience achieving ambitious outcomes and managing projectsExperience with adult learning design and/or teaching/coaching adult learners preferredExperience in lateral management preferredWork Demands:Travel 3-6 times/year | 8-10 times/year (statewide)Able to travel to national conferences or trainings 2-4 times per year.Ability to travel independently to multiple locations for work throughout Oklahoma and store/bring items to those locations.Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.YOUR FUTURE TEAMOklahomans pride themselves on banding together, rising to meet challenges, and coming out stronger and smarter than they began. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is $67,500-101,100.New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
