Title: Director- Global Business Development

Brand: Urban Decay

Location: El Segundo, CA (3 days/week onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Summary

The Director of Global Business Development is responsible for driving strategy, alignment and go-to-market across regions, markets and channels. This role must collaborate seamlessly with regional teams, global marketing, finance, product development, social/PR, digital e-business, operations, development, merchandising, education and creative ops.

Responsibilities

  • International Strategy
  • Responsible for maximum growth and expansion of brand globally by driving strategy, alignment and go to market across regions, markets and channels.
  • Represent Zone/country needs and priorities with DMI global marketing, social/PR, digital online, operations, development, merchandising, education and creative.
  • Lead business strategy of Marketing Paniers for product launches and growth ambitions by region, category, franchise and channel in collaboration with AVP GBD, SVP Marketing, and Brand President.
  • Support AVP GBD, Brand Deputy GM and Brand President in preparation for any key milestones LL Presentations, 3-Year Strategic Note, Zone Summits, Drive Meetings, etc.
  • Collaborate with O+O Departments (Retail Design, Digital & Education) to strategies to support marketing online + offline expansion, channel optimization, assortment productivity optimization and launch activations
  • Market Development
  • Manages Europe and Travel Retail and oversees 1 direct reports with cross-zone responsibilities to support all business drivers for new product launch and planning, retail & promotional strategies, pricing, logistics, local market initiatives, etc.
  • Business Analysis
  • Conduct Business Analysis inclusive of monthly retail reporting, Sell-In and Sell-Out, New Launches, Mix of Business, Distribution reports, Pricing, ad hoc reporting, etc
  • Conduct Business Modeling Simulations and Analysis to support annual brand strategy, budget process, and any specific market development projects.
  • Operational Support
  • Oversee team for Add & Delete\'s including planogram and assortment recommendations discontinuations in partnership with DMI Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and Zone alignment.
  • Oversee team for DRIVE Timeline implementation for UD in partnership with DMI Marketing, Social, Digital, Creative, Merchandising, and Zone alignment.
  • Oversee management of Lab Sample and PR Product Management to optimize market forecasting & pre-launch requirements to support Drive Timeline initiatives
  • Act as GBD Operational Liaison
  • Support team for Retail Sizing and Pricing for all new launches and catalogue in partnership with DMI Marketing, Development and Finance, and Zone alignment.
  • Leadership
  • Recruit top talent to lead through influence and collaborate with cross-functional partners that aligns with the evolving needs of the business, zones and markets.

Requirements
  • 7-10 years of marketing and/or business development experience.
  • Proven knowledge of global cultural nuances as it relates to doing business in the international marketplace.
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive Beauty landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language fluency a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% based on business needs.
Qualification Standards
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field of study, MBA a plus.
Pay Salary Range-

128k - 182k Base Salary + bonus
