Job Summary:

The Director, Knowledge Management will be responsible for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets. They will collaborate with various stakeholders, to promote and optimize the usage of the firm\'s knowledge assets. The Director, Knowledge Management will provide strategic visions, motivate, communicate, and give direction to drive the firm in a changing context.

Job Duties:

Knowledge Management

  • Reviews and refines content from originating owners and key contributors
  • Runs regular metrics reports used to establish content relevance and future development needs
  • Maintains an understanding of business processes and knowledge resources
  • Organizes and filters knowledge into highly accessible and user-friendly formats
  • Integrates knowledge management practices into firm culture by collaborating on knowledge sharing strategies, and by educating and training others
  • Develops relationships with key leaders and stakeholders to promote the advancement of knowledge sharing and use of knowledge management services within business lines and service support teams across the firm
  • Understands the firm\'s current objectives to ensure our content and data structure meet the needs of end users and are relevant to the business and its strategies
  • Identifies needs, opportunities for improvement, and assists in presenting solutions to leadership, and developing work plans, timelines, and successful implementation plans
Content Management
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure content strategy is effectively implemented and is consistent and fluid
  • Validates the quality and classification of content in accordance with the firm\'s content management policies and procedures
  • Updates the firm\'s ontology, taxonomy, and folksonomy as needed
  • Enforces current and future records management and information management policies
  • Follows content governance process to ensure the prioritization and adherence to the overall firm business needs
Publishing and Platforms
  • Reviews, uploads, and maintains content on the Assurance Knowledge base
  • Identifies platform needs or opportunities for improvement, then proposes strategic solutions, implementation plans, and project management oversight (i.e., industry portal pages, etc.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and reviews work prepared by Senior Associates and Managers assigned on projects
  • Acts as a Career Advisor to Senior Associates and Managers
  • Provides verbal and written performance feedback to RISE Professionals, Senior Associates, and Managers
  • Trains RISE professionals, Seniors, and Managers to provide on the job learning
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, preferred
  • Master\'s degree in Accountancy, preferred
Experience:
  • Ten (10) or more years of prior relevant audit experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
  • Extensive supervisory and management experience, required
License/Certifications:
  • Active licensed US CPA, recognized active International Equivalent or unique qualification as defined by BDO\'s Assurance Licensing Policy, required
  • If active international equivalent or unique qualifications, required to obtain an active US CPA license within approved timeframe as defined by firm licensing requirement guidelines.
Software:
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • Experience with assurance applications and research tools, required
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI, preferred
Language:
  • N/A

  • Strong US GAAP, US GAAS, SEC and PCAOB technical skills and knowledge

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate\'s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $180,000 - $207,500
Colorado Range: $132,000 - $214,600
New York City/ Valhalla Range: $175,000 - $277,857
Washington Range: $150,000 - $190,000
Remote / National: $164,246 - $197,565
