The annual base salary for this position ranges from $133,700.00 in our lowest geographic market to $318,300.00 in our highest geographic market. Our goal is to know & serve inspiration, innovation and enablement to unlock the power of sport for every athlete*.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an experienced Brand Director to lead our Men\xe2\x80\x99s Brand Marketing offense in New York City at the intersection of sport and culture.As part of our New York City Brand Management team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll demonstrate a deep and authentic understanding of youth insights, as well as community relationships in basketball, sneaker culture and streetwear, to innovate via the stories we tell and the events we lead. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of NYC Brand Management, this role will be a critical pillar of our city offense, helping to drive brand relevance and create lasting connections with athletes* in the city and beyond. You will be on the cutting edge of driving innovative strategies for NYC sport and culture that will have an impact and influence on the global stage.Qualified candidates should have experience leading and managing diverse teams. They should also have a comprehensive grasp of the NYC sport landscape, particularly basketball and lifestyle, a keen sense of nuances and intricacies of the NYC basketball communities and key figures along with the ability to lead multiple projects across a matrixed organization. Strong digital skills and ability to drive impact in the path of the NYC consumer is also a requirement.What you will work onYou will partner with our North America Men\xe2\x80\x99s Brand Management team to bring a city dimension to brand marketing plans, inclusive of marketing briefs, storytelling, marketing initiatives and activations that fuel our seasonal priorities and long-term community goals.You will work with Geo & City Brand and functional partners (digital, retail, comms, creative, media, energy) to drive a robust plan for Men\xe2\x80\x99s in NYC and to continually build new consumer connections with our most influential and impactful communities of sport and culture.As the NYC Men Brand Director, you will:

  • Drive and deliver the NYC brand strategy for basketball and lifestyle, delivering consistent consumer experiences and activations designed for the NYC consumer
  • Identify integrated opportunities and alignments between basketball and lifestyle to build the strongest end-in-mind experience for the consumer across performance and culture
  • Lead strategic partnerships to extend Nike brand priorities through key teams, programs and communities across professional and grassroots basketball
  • Cultivate a one team mentality driving E2E accountability for the NYC Men\xe2\x80\x99s team, and within the basketball and lifestyle team.
  • Develop and deliver E2E integrated marketing plan across basketball and lifestyle aligned with our consumer strategy across the NYC marketplace
  • Engage and connect with our consumers and communities that fuel and drive the basketball and lifestyle energy and culture.
  • Ensure that the marketplace is at our brand standards in partnership with functional teams.
  • Track and manage seasonal campaign executions and have a pulse on the city consumer to feed insights back.
Who you will work withAs the NYC Men\xe2\x80\x99s Brand Director, you will report directly into the NYC Senior Brand Director.You will lead the NYC Men\xe2\x80\x99s basketball and lifestyle team and you will orchestrate the marketing offense that drives brand storytelling and activations, fuels consumer demand and builds our relationship and connection with consumers and communities.You will collaborate with teammates in the North America Men\xe2\x80\x99s basketball and lifestyle team to build more effective and efficient ways to encourage and connect with athletes*. You will also collaborate and partner with the following key internal and external partners: NYC Brand Management, Women\xe2\x80\x99s & Kids Construct, Digital & Retail Marketing, Energy, Global and Geo, Brand Creative, Integrated Media, Sales & Merchandising, Agency & Production partnersWHAT YOU BRINGQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a closely related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing or related experience with a deep understanding of the basketball ecosystem across NYC leagues
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of basketball, culture, fashion, trends and growing the sport across underserved communities.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, with a team-first mentality and ability to influence decision makers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment.
