Director of Academic Success/
Associate Professor of Law
The University of Maine School of Law offers a comprehensive Academic Success Program for students starting in their first year. The program includes individual student support, student-led teaching fellow study sessions, large group workshops, upper-level classes, and bar exam support. The position of Director of Academic Success/Associate Professor of Law (Director) is a full-time, 12-month faculty position, with comparable rights to those on the tenure track. The Director is primarily responsible for overseeing and administering the Academic Success Program, as well as for teaching courses that help students to understand learning techniques and strategies, including those necessary for succeeding on the bar exam. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible but no later than August 2024.
The work location is at the University of Maine School of Law, 300 Fore Street, Portland.
Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is commensurate with experience plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. The UMS is a recipient of the Wellness Councils of America\'s Well Workplace Award and offers a wellness program.
